Grassland Monthly Real Estate Recap: November 2019

— Return to Erika’s Website —

Happy December! I hope this note finds you hustlin’ and bustlin’ your way to a merry gathering — or even just a fine glass of boxed wine, party of one. And as if you didn’t already have enough reason to be jolly, this ought to bring some joy to your world.

Straight to the Point

Grassland area home sales have SHATTERED any Grassland records in the past 13 years! Last month, there were 36 closings of homes zoned for Grassland Middle School – and narrowing down even further to homes zoned Grassland Elementary School, we saw 15 closings! Cha-Ching for our home values!

We haven’t seen this much activity in November for homes zoned for Grassland Elementary School since 2006 – with the most robust activity before that being in the years 2003, 2004 and 2005. (November 2004 saw 21 closings!)

November 2019 had an average sales price of about $872,000! The average price per square-foot in our area for November 2019 was $207.

All of this information is according to the MLS data in our region.

Tracking the Trend

What I’ve found in November falls in line with what I wrote about in October — also an impressive month for real estate in our area.

Meanwhile, tonight we can relax and party like it’s 1999. Or 2006, anyway, since that’s the last time our homes were selling at this pace during this time of the year.
