Grassland Weekly Watch: 11/15/19

We’ve officially made it through the middle of November and our first snowfall of the season! It’s like Elsa waved her wand, Tennessee style, from my back deck Tuesday morning. What’s frost and what’s snow.. I’ll never know.

We’ve seen a little magic in our Grassland Real Estate market as well. Ok, maybe not magic – there’s a lot that goes into it between buyers, sellers and their Realtors. But here’s the end result..

Let’s Dance!

Whip out your tap shoes and start warming up. We are dancin’ in this area! This week alone, 9 homes on the market, zoned for Grassland Middle School, went under contract – a third of those hovered in the million $$ plus range.

A home in Laurelbrooke reminds me of a southern plantation and only took 33 days to get a contract!

This isn’t the highest-priced house to sell in Grassland this week. The highest priced home that sold was on the market for $1,016,298. The lowest priced house in the Grassland area to go under contract this week listed for $389,000. It’s no surprise that one only stayed on the market for 3 days.

Breaking Down the Numbers

There are 2 new construction homes included in this weeks homes under contract in Grassland. Altogether, our average price for the 9 homes under contract this week is about $653,000. But since New Construction typically sits on the market longer (because it takes time to build), let’s look at how our 7 Resales are doing time-wise. When you average together the Resales‘ days on market, we’re at 21. These are numbers that, ahem, “make me move.”

Taking a Bow

It’s about time for me to curtsey, or take a bow, or do a curtain call, or whatever. But in no way am I “letting it go.” Coming up next… we’ll discuss the 2 new construction homes priced around a million $$ that went under contract this week, the new Grassland neighborhood they’re in and the builder. It’s a new project many of you may not be aware of. < Hint: It does not rhyme with Pevens Rally >
